The lone Geodetic Engineer in the Baguio City Council was chosen by the Professional Regulatory Commission as Most Outstanding Geodetic Engineer on its 2012 39th Anniversary Celebrations.
During the June 22, 2012 Awards Night held at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel, City of Manila, Councilor Isabelo B. Cosalan Jr. was among the 39 awardees feted by the PRC as outstanding professionals after a rigorous nationwide selection process. According to the PRC, Councilor Cosalan Jr. was regarded for his exceptional commitment to public service as Geodetic Engineer, for being an embodiment of the highest degree of professionalism, for his valuable participation in and contribution to the advancement of the profession as a prominent resource speaker on various issues in governance and the engineering profession and for his utmost devotion as a devout and active Christian, in the pursuit of his advocacy to serve the public.
Councilor Cosalan Jr. is a member of the Geodetic Engineers, Inc. since 1986. He was also adjudged as “Most Outstanding Private Geodetic Engineer” in 2003 by the GEP-North Luzon Area Assembly and “Surveyor of the Year” in 1995 by the Midland Courier.
The event is an annual activity conducted by the Foundation for Outstanding Professionals in cooperation with the Professional Regulation Commission, the Philippine Association of Professional Regulatory Board Members, Inc. and the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations, Inc. It aims to foster and recognize exemplary achievements of the members of the 46 professions regulated by the PRC. Councilor Cosalan Jr. is joined by another Awardee from St, Louis University, Baguio City, Josephine Viduya Culaton-Milan who was also this year’s Outstanding Medical Technologist.
